Please note: Although East Bay Recovery Center will be closed on December 24th and 25th, it will continue to be available per our Peer Recovery Hotline. On December 25th we will have a Virtual Recovery A Thon with virtual All Recovery Meetings at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4 pm and 6pm.

We have worked diligently with the Leadership at East Bay Community Action Program to develop safety protocols and procedures which are in accordance with recommendations and policies from the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Governor’s Office.
  • The number of individuals allowed in the building will be limited to 15, including staff
  • We will adhere to 6 feet social distancing
  • Masks must be worn in the Recovery Center at all times
  • A temperature check screening will be conducted for all who enter the building
Individual Recovery Coaching Sessions will again be offered on a drop-in basis.
We will be offering a hybrid model for our All Recovery Groups, as well as our other support groups.  These groups will meet in person at the Center while adhering to the 15 person occupancy and social distancing guidelines.  Individuals can also join these groups virtually by Zoom.  We will utilize our group rooms, equipped with televisions and laptops, to allow individuals the option to join the groups virtually.  We also plan to hold occasional meetings outside with weather permitting.  The outside meetings will also allow access by Zoom.

The Recovery Center strives to empower, encourage, and support individuals as they work to improve their lives and face the challenges of recovery. East Bay Recovery Center is not a treatment agency or a 12-step group (although aspects of those may be present), but it is a safe and supportive place that emphasizes self-direction where an individual can embrace and experience what the peer-recovery movement has to offer.

Who We Serve:

The Recovery Center serves any individual who is contemplating recovery or is actively in recovery.  All participants are asked to respect each other’s confidentiality and personal boundaries, and honor each other’s culture, life experience, and belief system.  All are welcome!

Key Features of the Program:

Participants of the Recovery Center will experience one-on-one support with a Peer Recovery Coach, who has personally “walked the walk” and who strives to promote mutually supportive relationships in ways that empower recovery, personal growth, and social action.  The program features:

  • All-Recovery Meetings
  • Recovery Training Series
  • Family Support Groups
  • Community/Social Events
  • Telephone Support
  • Wellness Activities (yoga, meditation, health screenings, etc.)
  • Expungement Workshops
