East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
The East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a program for individuals 55 years and older who want to contribute their time and energy to impact and improve conditions in the community. RSVP is a network of community members volunteering in multiple programs and nonprofits in the East Bay.
Who We Serve
RSVP involves community members 55 years and older interested in socializing with others, working in the community, and learning new skills to provide quality services to our East Bay community. Volunteers provide various services through our partner programs. Volunteers tackle issues like food insecurity, isolation in the community, tax preparation, and health insurance counseling.
Our volunteers serve in Food Pantries, Community Gardens, Public Schools, VITA Tax Assistance, and other areas of community service. RSVP partners with over 90 community organizations to provide opportunities for our volunteer network from East Providence to Newport. RSVP volunteers are Senior Corps members and are invited to an Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon so we may say “Thank You” for all that they do in the community. Volunteers are provided educational opportunities through our partners for special service positions.
