East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Housing Family Advocate for the 100 Bullocks Point location in East Providence, RI.  We are seeking a highly professional and motivated individual who enjoys case management and has knowledge of US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and RI Department of Health (DOH) guidelines. The ideal candidate will be utilizing the HUD and DOH guidelines for placing families into the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless (EBCH) program.

The Housing Family Advocate Housing will provide lead poisoning outreach and education to eligible households, conduct interviews and assessment of homeless families, case management including home visits and work collaboratively with EBCAP staff to address identified needs of our clients. The successful candidate will submit monthly and quarterly reports to HUD and DOH regarding our clients who are in EBCH program.

The Housing Family Advocate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of community resources and enjoy working with families.  Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, however, not required. Knowledge of Health Information Management Systems (HIMS), however, we will train the ideal candidate on the HIMS system.
