KIDS CONNECT Behavioral Health

KIDS CONNECT is a program run by the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services that provides needed supports for children with behavioral, developmental or specials needs so they may successfully participate in childcare. These services are provided through a select number of DCYF licensed childcare centers, including EBCAP’s Head Start Program. In addition, in coordination with EBCAP’s East Bay Center, clinical social workers provide Behavioral Health out-patient services in both office and community settings for young children.

Who We Serve:

KIDS CONNECT serves Head Start children and their families and Claiborne Pell Elementary School students and their families.

Key Features:

Children are assessed, and an individualized treatment plan is developed along with supportive classroom services. Additionally, depending on the child’s needs, an interdisciplinary team may help the child outside of the classroom in both office and community settings.
