1st Annual Night on the Bay
The 1st Annual Night on the Bay was held Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Blithewold Mansion, 101 Ferry Road, Bristol, RI. The event recognized the wonderful accomplishments of East Bay Recovery Center, and it also honored community advocates. This reception fundraiser included passed hors d’oeuvres, food station, and a cash bar as well as an auction and other fundraising activities. Alison Bologna, NBC 10 News Sunrise Anchor, was presented with the Recovery Champion Award. Bologna founded and runs a non-profit organization that provides free yoga outreach programs for men and women in recovery and others.
Sergeant Michael Vieira, Bristol Police Department, was presented with the Recovery Hero Award. Vieira was the first officer in the Department’s history to save a life by administering NARCAN.
Master of Ceremonies
Senator John J. Tassoni Jr., recovery advocate and former member of the Rhode Island State Senate, served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.
