Site Coordinator CLC (EBCAP0265)


East Bay Community Action Program is seeking Community Learning Center (CLC) Site Coordinator for the Newport Family and Child Opportunity Zone (NFCOZ) program at the Pell Elementary School in Newport, RI.  NFCOZ provides services and referrals to Newport children and their families in school and community settings, in partnership with Newport Public Schools, parents and the community.  

The CLC Site Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining the vision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) initiative by coordinating programs and services. Duties include planning activities, daily supervision of program participants and staff, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and community agencies, and promoting parent involvement. Coordinate opportunities in the Out of School Time (OST) hours for academic enrichment to help students meet State and local student performance standards in core academic subjects such as reading and mathematics. Offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities that reinforce and complement the regular academic program and that support connections to school, assist students to develop 21st Century skills, and contribute to student’s social and emotional growth. Daily interaction with CLC participant families. Support family participation in parent/teacher conferences, recruit families for  the PTO, and provide welcome activities and information for new families.

The Site Coordinator must have a Bachelor's Degree in education or a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field with at least three years of community work experience with children, youth, and families.
