Temporary Medical Receptionist (EBCAP0156)

East Bay Community Action Program is seeking a Temporary Medical Receptionist for our Health Center in East Providence. The Temporary Medical Receptionist is 40 hours per week for approximately four months.

The Medical Receptionist provides front office patient and visitor reception, scheduling, and supports the operation of the Health Center. Works collaboratively with other EBCAP Programs to ensure patients are informed and have access to all available services in accordance with the Agency’s mission.

The Medical Receptionist will have:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and/or Medical Assistant Certificate.
  • EHR experience, preferably with NexGen.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy health center environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize appropriate initiative within scope of position.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Accurate knowledge/spelling of Medical Terminology.
  • Maintain current certification in CPR from the American Heart Association.
  • Cordial telephone etiquette and courteous demeanor.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle, as some transportation may be required.
  • Day, evening, and weekend coverage is required. No on-call duties are performed.
