Medical Assistant (EBCAP0317)

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time certified Medical Assistant for the 100 Bullocks Point location in East Providence, RI.  We are seeking a highly professional and motivated individual who enjoys working with clients in a community health setting.  Join our expanding dynamic multidisciplinary team and provide comprehensive patient care using a care team model.  

The Medical Assistant will warmly greet and intake patients who arrive for their appointment. He/she will perform initial assessments of patients including obtaining medical, social, and psychological history; taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse; weight and height, audiometry testing, and Snellen eye chart testing. He/she will assist medical providers with all aspects of patient care.

The Medical Assistant is required to have a High School Diploma/equivalent and a certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program. The successful candidate will have experience in electronic medical record (EMR), however, would receive training in EBCAP’s EMR which is Next Gen.
