Associate Teacher- Early Head Start

East Bay Community Action’s Early Head Start Program is seeking an Associate Teacher to work in the East Bay Area working with Infants and Toddlers. The position is full time/full year.  General responsibilities will include overseeing the daily classroom utilizing Head Start Program Performance Standards, Program Plan, the Creative Curriculum, EBCAP MAP System, NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and RI State Licensing Regulations.  This position will be responsible for developing ways in which parents/guardians can enhance their child’s learning experiences, conducting the required parent/teacher conferences and home visits for the purpose of assessment and support, ensuring that all space and equipment used by children is kept safe, clean and developmentally appropriate

Must be able to work flexible hours and enjoy working with culturally diverse at-risk families. 

BA in Early Childhood Education with RIDE ECE or ECE Special Education certification and experience working in and infant/toddler classroom preferred.  CDA with infant/toddler endorsement and experience in a preschool classroom required.  Other combinations of education and experience considered.  Bi-lingual a plus.  Comprehensive Benefit package included.
