Health Advocate:

East Bay Community Action Program has a part time (20 hr/wk) position for a Health Advocate to work in their East Providence site. Individual should have strong knowledge and commitment of low-income populations. This position will be responsible for completing patient social service assessments, information sharing and referrals, and case management. Familiarity with health care terminology. Bilingual a plus.

Knowledge of area resources.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle crisis intervention.

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and maintain current

auto insurance. BCI and fingerprinting necessary.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
