Quaility Improvement Coordinator

 

Quality Improvement Coordinator: Full time position available for a RI licensed RN serving two community health center sites located in East Providence and Newport, RI. This position will be responsible for the conformance to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and corporate policy for OSHA and OACF regulations regarding safety and health, infection control and employee health. This position also assures that improvement activities are documented and reported within the organization, and externally as appropriate. This position will manage state Chronic Care Collaborative grant. Other duties will include review standards to maintain Accreditation, develop, review and revise policies, implement policies by training staff and conduct surveys. The QIC will work with nursing, medical and operations staff to develop appropriate documentation regarding safety practices, clinical effectiveness policies and performance improvement, develop measures to establish system-wide compliance with the above practices and policies and comply with HIPPA guidelines for security and confidentiality of data and information. Familiarity with NCQA’s Patient Centered-Medical Home physician designation and CMS “Meaningful Use” criteria for electronic health records incentive program highly desirable.
