Nurse Midwife/Practitioner
East Bay Community Action Program has One Part Time (10 hour outpatient office plus shared on-call time for deliveries) position available for either a Certified Nurse Midwife or Certified Nurse Midwife/Nurse Practitioner.
The position is located in East Providence at our Community Health Center.
Certified Nurse Midwife:
The Nurse Midwife will provide routine prenatal, intra partum and postnatal care to women in the outpatient setting. Duties will include providing care for women’s health care conditions presenting to the health center not related to obstetrical care.
Certified Nurse Midwife/Nurse Practitioner:
The Certified Nurse Midwife/Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care for children and adults. This position will be responsible for providing ongoing management of uncomplicated chronic care patients as well as management of common minor and acute illnesses, in collaboration with a physician and other health care team members. Significant job functions will include clinical, administrative and operational. The employee in this position will also provide routine prenatal, intra partum and postnatal care to women in the outpatient setting. Duties will include providing care for women’s health care conditions presenting to the health center not related to obstetrical care.
Qualifications:
Must be positive and enjoy working with multicultural/economically diverse children and families in providing comprehensive patient care. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Mid Wife from the State of Rhode Island is required. Bi-lingual skills a plus.
